Woman arrested for allegedly paying with pretend cash in Denpasar

A 32-year-old girl was arrested in Denpasar for allegedly paying with counterfeit payments at markets and stalls within the metropolis. 

“We made the arrest following studies from native residents, and so we deployed officers to research,” South Denpasar sub-precinct chief, I Gede Sudyatmaja, mentioned in the present day. 

The suspect, recognized as WT, reportedly used counterfeit cash to buy at a well-liked retailer in South Denpasar. When the homeowners checked the invoice she used afterwards, they came upon that it was a forgery. 

Police say that they discovered IDR3.7 million (US$263) of counterfeit cash in IDR50K payments at her kost (boarding home) room, amongst different items of proof. 

Sudyatmaja mentioned investigation into the case will proceed. 

WT has been charged with Article 245 on distributing counterfeit cash underneath the Criminal Code (KUHP), which carries a most jail sentence of 15 years.
