A staff of flying and strolling robots has claimed a $2 million prize for efficiently exploring an underground advanced as a part of a contest run by the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

DARPA commonly holds contests to encourage fledgling applied sciences, most notably with self-driving vehicles – a number of groups who entered a DARPA problem in 2005 went on to start out corporations within the business.
